BLUEcloud Analytics - 2. Running a Report

Modified on Tue, 04 Apr 2023 at 04:23 PM

Once a report has been located to run, click on the title and the prompts will load so selections can be made.

**Prompts may have special instructions for your results to be accurate**

Some prompts require an answer. If a Required prompt has been missed, it will let you know which prompt needs answered.

Some prompts are Optional. If nothing is chosen in an Optional prompt, everything within that prompt is considered. Optional prompts can be selected to narrow down the amount of results the report returns. Please be mindful when using Optional prompts with the type of report that is chosen.

To make selections within a prompt, click on any option in the Available area and move it over to the Selected area.

This can be done by using the single arrow to move it over, or by double clicking on it.

**The double arrows will move all options over to the Selected area. They will also move everything from the Selected area back to the Available area**

When finished with the prompt selections, click on the RUN REPORT button located in the lower left corner.

Below are the results of a report that has finished running. If the report has the PAGE-BY feature, clicking on the down arrow beside the code will show the results for that library. TOTAL will give you the combined numbers for all libraries that were chosen.

If a report prompt needs adjusted, make sure the Report Home toolbar is highlighted, then click on the Re-Prompt icon to make the adjustments.

After the adjustments are made, click on Run Report in the lower left corner.

To remove any unwanted column(s) from a finished report, right click on the column title and then click on Remove from Grid.

Columns that have been removed will be in bold lettering under Report Objects.

To bring it back into the report, right click on it and choose Add to Grid.

BCA will always show you the path for the report chosen.

If the wrong report has been chosen, click on SEO REPORTS in the path to be taken back to report folders.

Click on the big red M to go back to the home screen.

To log off, click on the down arrow beside your username in the upper right corner. Then click on Logout.
