AVAIL_SOON & CATALOGING Current Location Maintenance Report

There are two methods to retrieve items have been in AVAIL_SOON or CATALOGING Current Location for more than 30 days:


What to do: Each month, staff is expected to check the stacks and cataloging area for these items. If they are found in the stacks, please check in the items.

Item Group Editor

  1.  In the Item Group Editor Wizard (TECH & MANAGER logins only), input your library code in the Library field.
  2. For a list of items in available soon location, input AVAIL_SOON in the Current location field.
    For a list of items in cataloging location, input CATALOGING in the Current location field.
    For both AVAIL_SOON and CATALOGING items, input AVAIL_SOON|CATALOGING in the Current location field.
  3. Click the gadget in the Date created field.
  4. Select Before and either input the date 30 days before today's date in mm/dd/yyyy format or use the gadget to select the date.
  5. Click Search.
  6. A list of lost items will be returned. You can print the list by going to File-->Print Screen.


BLUEcloud Analytics

  1. Locate the AVAILABLE SOON / CATALOGING REPORT in BLUECloud Analytics in the BCA OHIO>Shared Reports>SEO REPORTS>MAINTENANCE folder.
  2. In the Item Library Code prompt, click on your library code and click the single chevron arrow to bring the library to the Selected column.
  3. In the Current Location prompt, select AVAIL_SOON or CATALOGING. Click the single chevron arrow to bring the selection to the Selected column. Or, use the double chevron to select both locations.
  4. In the Item Created Date, use the calendar widget to select the date 30 days before today.
  5. Click Run Report.
  6. Print or export the report as desired. More instructions on using BlueCloud Analytics can be found in this knowledge base article.
