Managing Claims Returned Items

The Claims Returned Items report can be viewed and managed using BLUEcloud Analytics.

What to do: Each month, library staff are expected to look for claims returned items in the stacks. Check in any items found to update their status.

Retention: After twelve months, any items remaining in Claims Returned status will be discarded automatically.

BLUEcloud Analytics Instructions

  1. Locate the Claims Returned by Item Library report in BLUEcloud Analytics. It is found in the BCA OHIO > Shared Reports > SEO REPORTS > MAINTENANCEfolder.

  2. In the prompts, click on your Library Code and use the single chevron arrow to move it to the Selected column.
  3. Click Run Report.
  4. Print or export the report as desired. More instructions on using BLUEcloud Analytics can be found in the BCA video tutorials.
