Create an Email

Clone Your Email Template

The SEO Team has created an e-mail template for each library. Please clone your template when creating a new e-mail.


  1. In the Filter... text box, input your library code to reduce the number of emails displayed. 
  2. Click the Down arrow next to your template and select Clone.
  3. Click Select under the New Segment Email option.

Update Subject & Review Advanced Settings

  1. Input your Subject. This text is the subject that your patrons will see when the email is sent.
    Example: Summer Reading 2024
  2. In the Internal Name text box input your Library Code followed by the Subject of the email.
    Example: TIF Summer Reading 2024
  3. Leave the Patron segment as Placeholder segment for now. You will update the segment once the email is complete.
  4. Click on the Advanced tab. Verify the following:
    1. From name is your library name.
    2. From address is blank. 
    3. Reply to address is an email address for your library.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click Builder.

Create Your Content

Follow these instructions on how to add/edit content in your email. 


SEO staff recommends clicking Next then Save and back to the Builder periodically as the email builder does not automatically save.


Once finished creating your email, click Next.


Publish & Schedule Your Email

Follow the steps in this article to publish and schedule your email
