Removing an Active User ID from a Patron Account

Use these steps to clean up a patron's record by moving unwanted active IDs to the discard status and clearing old reference IDs from the extended information tab.


  1. Search for and retrieve the patron record using the Modify User wizard.
  2. Click the Extended Info tab to identify the specific barcode that needs to be removed.
  3. Click the User ID Manager helper icon in the upper-left corner of the window.

  4. In the User ID Managerdialog box:
    • Select the ID to be removed.
    • Click the arrow to move it to the Inactive IDs column.
  5. Note: If the ID you need to remove does not appear in this helper, please submit a support ticket for manual removal.

  6. Select the ID in the Inactive column and click the arrow to move it to the Discard IDs column.

  7. Click OK to close the manager.

  8. Return to the Extended Info tab. Check for entries in the PREV_ID or PREV_ID2 fields.
  9. To remove these, click into the relevant line and click the Delete Row icon.

  10. Repeat this process for the PREV_ID2 line if necessary.
  11. Click Save to finalize the changes to the account.
