Viewing Reports in Microsoft Excel

This document will show you how to modify your report session to view reports in Microsoft Excel.


  1. Click on the TEMPLATE REPORTS tab and then click on Report Session in the Common Tasks
  2. Click on the gadget beside "Application to view XML reports:" and navigate to the Microsoft Excel program file as shown below:
  3. The path may vary depending on what version of the Microsoft suite you have. It should be one of the following paths:
    1. C:\%Program Files%\Microsoft Office\Office9\EXCEL.EXE
    2. C:\%Program Files%\Microsoft Office\Office10\EXCEL.EXE
    3. C:\%Program Files%\Microsoft Office\Office11\EXCEL.EXE
    4. C:\%Program Files%\Microsoft Office\Office12\EXCEL.EXE
    5. C:\%Program Files%\Microsoft Office\Office14\EXCEL.EXE
    6. C:\%Program Files%\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\EXCEL.EXE
  4. Be sure to save your report session settings. The next time you view XML reports; Microsoft Excel will open.
