Suspending and Unsuspending Holds

Suspending a hold allows a patron to maintain their place in the hold queue without having the hold filled until a specific date (e.g., while they are on vacation).

Important: If you enter a "Date suspended" but leave the "Date unsuspended" field blank, the hold will remain suspended indefinitely. Always ensure an unsuspension date is included.

2. Identifying Suspended Holds in User Records

When viewing a patron's record in the Checkout or Display User wizards, suspended holds will be clearly marked in the Holds tab. The list will display both the "Suspended" status and the scheduled "Date Unsuspended."
