How to Search Die-Cuts in WorkFlows

This document will show you how to search for SEO-owned Die-Cuts in WorkFlows.


If you know the shape/object you want, the best way to search for it in WorkFlows (staff view catalog) is to use the Item Search and Display wizard. Set the index to General, set Libraries to All and set type to Keyword. Enter the description and the words die cut in the Search For box; then, click Search. Here’s an example:



If there is more than one matching result, a results list will appear in the center part of the screen with details about the highlighted title shown in the bottom part of the screen:


Highlight the title you want to view in the results list (center section). Click Detailed Display at the bottom of the screen which will default either to the Bibliographic tab or the Call Number/Item tab. If there is only one matching title record, the screen will default to the detailed display. All the records for SEO-owned die cuts have the words die cut as the first part of the title. The Bibliographic tab information looks like this:


You can view an image of the die cut by clicking on the URL (in MARC field 856). An Internet browser window will open and display the image:
