Action Required: The End of Windows 10 and Its Impact
The end of Windows 10 is fast approaching. Support officially ends on October 14, 2025. After this date, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support.
Why is this important?
When past versions of Windows (XP, 7, 8) reached their end of life, hackers quickly began exploiting them. Any computer running an unsupported operating system connected to the internet should be considered at risk or compromised—even with antivirus software installed.
Additionally, our vendor, SirsiDynix, does not support end-of-life operating systems. If you encounter issues running WorkFlows software on Windows 10 after October 2025, our support team may not be able to help.

Options for Moving Forward
Purchase New Computers with Windows 11: This is the most recommended option. New hardware ensures full compatibility and security for years to come.
Upgrade Existing Systems: Your IT team may be able to upgrade eligible systems to Windows 11 through a registry modification, provided the hardware is not older than 6–7 years.
Extended Security Updates (ESU): If a PC cannot be upgraded, Microsoft will offer a paid Extended Security Updates program. The estimated cost is about $30 per device per year.
Recommended Computer Replacement Cycle
To avoid future end-of-life issues, we recommend the following computer replacement cycle:
Every 5 years (Ideal): Ensures hardware stays current and avoids OS end-of-life issues.
Every 7 years (Acceptable): Still avoids unsupported operating systems, but may experience slower performance on older hardware.
